The Diplomat Season 4 is now streaming on Netflix, with all eight episodes available. Netflix’s October 15 announcement confirms the return of Keri Russell’s Kate Wyler and Rufus Sewell’s Hal Wyler.
The Diplomat Season 4: Where to Watch and Episode Count
The new season is available on Netflix. Its eight-episode release means viewers can watch the full season rather than wait for weekly installments. Check the show’s listing in your local Netflix account before planning your watch.
Who is returning?
Russell and Sewell are joined by Allison Janney as President Grace Penn and Bradley Whitford as Todd Penn. Janney, Whitford and Nana Mensah, who plays Billie Appiah, have been promoted to series regulars for Season 4.
A spoiler-light look at the story
Netflix’s official synopsis places political power and two strained marriages at the center of the new season. Kate and Todd find themselves working together as Grace and Hal’s alliance raises the stakes.
Should you catch up first?
Our viewing advice: start with the earlier seasons if you are new to the series. This is a continuing political drama, so jumping straight into Season 4 risks losing the context behind its relationships. Returning viewers who want to avoid spoilers should also leave finale recaps until after watching.
